AvERP mit IASB & ERPII

Beitrag von Al »

Hi,

I have some observations and queries.

First:
Is there anyone who needs AvERP in English and with IASB conformity? http://www.standardsetter.de/drsc/docs/charter_eng.html

We want to use AvERP also for invoicing International customers. The correspondence with overseas customers of any firm has to be in English as well, at least bilingual. I will be translating for our needs when we decide to use AvERP. If someone else is in the process, you can email me at lllactive_at_gmail_dot_com. We could also offer it to the community, but what are the consequences w.r.t SynERP?

Second:
Otherwise we run only Linux on the server side, and will also be interested in AvERP on Linux without wine or CW-Office. Are there any moves to an ERPII solution with for eg. LAMP (or even the Win/IIS/MSSQL solution for others) to have a user 'client free solution' using a browser? I have an interesting article in German on ERP II: A short extract -

• Skalierbarkeit
Fähigkeit zur Skalierung der Architektur („up“ und „down“ – z.B. in Bezug auf den Datendurchsatz oder die Benutzeranzahl)
• Wartbarkeit
Fähigkeit zur dauerhaft effizienten Wartung (z.B. „online“ Konfiguration und optimierte Releasefähigkeit (komfortables Release-Handling))
• Transparenz

Web Services) stattfindet.

(I have the complete article and others as PDF for those interested - mail me your email address)

I have already built such a "3-Tier-Architektur" with SuSE Linux 10.0 Clusters and use LAMP with windows clients using FireFox. I am investigating the use of AvERP at the moment (separate presentation on Windows clients and Database on Linux). It will be interesting if SynERPy has plans in this direction. I would like AvERP in such an environment because it is well supported by a professional company and a development team.

Comments welcome.

:-)

Hi,

I've registered - you could PM me for the documents if you want.

Can such documents be attached somewhere here on the Forum? (With the clearance from the Forum Admin beforehand of course)

Try Compiere

Beitrag von Al »

Hi, I'm presently trying Compiere. It uses $Oracle exclusively at the moment (sadly). Stay away from $Oracle, it is a pain to install on Linux, while the listener still does not like hyphenated host names, even though the database allows it!. $Oracle has M$ natured business strategies, and will be replaced by OSS "Apache Derby" shortly (developed by the Apache WebServer group). I'd also like DB2, but it is still being ported. Compiere has been developed by ex SAP expert, Joerg Janke (who is porting Compiere to Apache Derby as well).

A real ERP II system can then be built. I don't think it is on the cards at AvERP.
